武科大網訊 近日,澳大利亞惠安(泉港、臺商投資區)同鄉總會、武漢科技大學澳大利亞校友會聯合舉辦端午節活動暨紀念先僑慈善義跑發布會。中國駐墨爾本總領館陳小冬副總領事出席,維州議員狄明賢,墨爾本市議員廖蟬娥、雷示人,蒙納士市議員羅丹,澳中工商業委員會維州分會主席羅伯茨,維州多元文化委員會副主席布泰及僑界代表百余人出席。
陳小冬副總領事在致辭中向現場嘉賓致以美好的端午節祝福,指出舉辦紀念先僑慈善義跑活動意義非凡,相信義跑活動將讓更多澳民眾特別是華人銘記歷史,激勵廣大華人為促進澳經濟社會文化發展和中澳友好作出更大貢獻。

Deputy Consul General Chen Xiaodong Attends the Dragon Boat Festival Celebration and Launch Event for Charity Run in Memory of Early Chinese Pioneers in Victoria
On June 7, Deputy Consul General Chen Xiaodong attended the Dragon Boat Festival celebration and the launch event for the charity run in memory of Early Chinese Pioneers in Victoria. The event was jointly organized by the Australia Hui An Association and the Wuhan University of Science and Technology Alumni Association in Australia. The ceremony was also attended by a number of distinguished guests, including Mr Meng Heang Tak MP, State Member for Clarinda, Cr Gladys Liu, Cr Kevin Louey, Cr Nicky Luo, Mr Rhys Roberts, President of ACBC (VIC), Mr Bwe Thay, Deputy Chairperson of VMC, and over a hundred representatives from the Chinese community.
In his speech, Deputy Consul General Chen extended warm Dragon Boat Festival wishes to all attendees. He emphasized the significant meaning of the charity run, which would help more Australians, especially Chinese Australians, remember the history of their ancestors and inspire them to strive toward greater contributions to the prosperity of Australia’s economy and society, the development of cultural diversity, and the enhancement of friendship between China and Australia.
The charity run in memory of Early Chinese Pioneers in Victoria is scheduled to take place in April 2026 in areas such as Ballarat. The funds raised from the event will be donated to the Museum of Chinese Australian History.
